GLAM ROCK SHINES ON FORTHCOMING FIVE-DISC BOX SET
All that glittered wasn’t necessarily gold in the musical sub-genre known as Glam Rock, but nevertheless many of the less than gold and platinum-selling artists who fit into the category are found on the upcoming five-disc box set, Oh Yes We Can Love, due October 28. The title comes from the David Bowie-penned Mott the Hoople hit “All the Young Dudes,” which naturally is included in the collection. Additional androgynous artists found in the compilation include T. Rex, Slade, Sweet, Fox, Kiss, Bay City Rollers, Hanoi Rocks, and The Glitter Band.
