KISS’ SIMMONS’ USED GUM SELLS FOR CLOSE TO $250K ON EBAY

Disgusting (in more ways than one) doesn’t begin to describe the thought of someone actually spending close to a quarter of a million dollars to own a piece of Kiss bassist Gene Simmons’ used chewing gum. According to KISSopolis, an unidentified buyer purchased Simmons’ saliva-slathered gum on eBay, beating out 99 additional bids. The silver lining in all of this silliness is that all proceeds from the sale are going to the Street League organization, a UK-based charity that uses sports programs to combat youth unemployment.

SIR PAUL SUDDENLY SACKS BELOVED LONGTIME ESTATE CARETAKERS

It appears to be a case of out with the old and in with the new for Paul McCartney, whose new album titled New will be out this Tuesday, October 15. Meanwhile, UK’s Daily Mail reports the former Beatle has unceremoniously fired his old friends and the longtime caretaker and estate manager of his Scottish estate the Mull of Kintyre after both had held down their positions for a combined 55 years. Friends and family of caretaker Jimmy Paterson and estate manager Bobby Cairns were shocked to hear the news the 71-year old Rock and Roll Hall of Famer has given Paterson three months to leave his adjacent cottage and immediately fired Cairns. The state was a haven for McCartney and his late wife, Linda, and one longtime neighbor speculated, “I think he lost faith in Mull of Kintyre when Linda died [in 1998]. He’s hardly been there.” In 1977, Wings released the single "Mull of Kintyre" which was the band's biggest hit in the UK, selling over two million copies.

Thankfully, a former Los Angeles disc jockey spotted the graffiti and quickly alerted representatives of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, who immediately dispatched a cleanup crew who were able to erase all the writing and restore the star to its original luster by last Monday morning.
