FORMER PEARL JAM EXEC SENTENCED TO JAIL

A former financial officer for Pearl Jam’s management company will spend 14 months behind bars for embezzling more than $300,000 from the Seattle rockers. Rickey Goodrich pled guilty in December to six counts of first-degree theft. Goodrich was given two weeks to get his affairs in order before he will be formally sentenced and sent to prison.

SPRINGFIELD & BENATAR TOURING

Rick Springfield is teaming with Pat Benatar and husband Neil Giraldo for a tour that launches June 29th in Raleigh, NC. “I am very excited for the dates. We both have a big catalog of familiar songs so I think the audiences will definitely get it,” Springfield told Billboard. Of course, Springfield is very familiar with Giraldo’s work. He actually recorded the guitar part on Springfield’s 1980s hit “Jesse’s Girl.”

QUEEN & LAMBERT TO MAKE ANNOUNCEMENT

Queen is expected to make a big announcement later this week in New York City. The UK rockers and American Idol runner up Adam Lambert will be holding a special event at Madison Square Garden on Thursday, which will likely involve “some kind of concert event or series.” Earlier this month, guitarist Brian May alluded to a possible tour with Lambert, telling the BBC, “we’ve been talking to Adam Lambert, you know we’ve already done some gigs with Adam, who is amazing,” adding that “we’ll be doing more stuff this summer, probably in the States.”

DUANE ALLMAN’S DAUGHTER RELEASES BOOK

A new biography about Duane Allman hit stores today, written by his daughter Galadrielle, who was only two when Duane died in a motorcycle crash. The 400- page memoir, Please Be with Me: A Song for My Father Duane Allman, features personal stories and new details about her dad, which she gathered from talking with family members, friends and bandmates. “Duane Allman's story is more than a tragedy, it's a true romance. He fell in love with his guitar and gave his heart away.,” she explained. "Learning about him changed my life completely. A missing piece that I thought could only be had by knowing him has been returned to me, assembled from all the gathered fragments word by word."

STEWART & SANTANA ANNOUNCE CO-HEADLINING TOUR

Rod Stewart and Santana have announced a joint tour, dubbed ‘The Voice, The Guitar, The Songs,” that will kick off May 23rd in Albany, New York. The trek will hit 18 cities in U. S. and Canada, ending August 20th at the Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, NY. Stewart is touring in support of his rock album Time, while Santana’s upcoming album Corazon, is due out May 6th. American Express pre-sale tickets are available starting today, with the general on-sale beginning March 7th.
