FORMER ROLLING STONES MANAGER WON’T BE AT ROCK HALL INDUCTION
Original Rolling Stones manager Andrew Loog Oldham is the latest member of the class of 2014 to announce he won’t attend tonight’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in Brooklyn. At a recent lecture in Germany, Oldham told the audience, “I won’t be there, I’ll tell you why. It’s a television show. Twenty years ago it was an incredible party in the Waldorf-Astoria where everybody could behave exactly as they could 20 years ago. And then it became a business. I think it’s healthier to stay home. I think those people basically hijacked the name ‘rock ‘n’ roll.’”

BACH BACKS SIMMONS, SIDES WITH STANLEY ON FREHLEY FRACAS
Despite being an unabashed Kiss fan, former Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach says he can sympathize with Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, who refused to perform with Ace Frehley at this Thursday’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. In a recent interview, Bach said, “As a fan, I understand why people would want to see that. But…I understand why Gene Simmons doesn’t work with Ace Frehley. Ace has sides to him that maybe the fans don’t see. That’s all I can say.” Bach did hint that he will expand on his Frehley comments in his upcoming autobiography, which he is currently writing.
KISS AMONG ROCK HALL INDUCTEES BOOKED FOR THE TONIGHT SHOW
New Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon will celebrate Thursday’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony with a week’s worth of incoming inductees. According to Rolling Stone, Kiss will be “rocking the house” on Friday, John Oates of Hall & Oates will be sitting in with the Roots tonight, Yusuf Islam (formerly known as Cat Stevens) is slated to perform Tuesday, and former Nirvana members Dave Grohl and Krist Novocelic will be guests of Fallon on Wednesday, though it is unclear whether they will perform, since Stevie Nicks is already booked as Wednesday’s musical guest. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place Thursday at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
